Tom passed away in Kamloops, B.C., on Sunday, January 18, 2015, just one week before his 83rd Birthday.
Tom was born in Burstall, Saskatchewan, on January 30, 1932, to Mabel and Fred Saklofsky. The family moved to Kamloops in 1946, where they built a home and their children attended school.
Tom worked for B.C. Forestry in the summer months in Kamloops, and after graduation, worked with B.C. Hydro and Harmac Pulp Mill in Nanaimo. He married Addie Rae in 1956, and their daughter, Theresa, was born.
In 1967, Tom returned to Kamloops and worked at Weyerhaeuser pulp mill. In 1970, he met Claire and her five-year-old son, Brent. Claire and Tom were married in 1972. Brent predeceased Tom in 1991.
Left to mourn Tom’s passing are Claire, his wife, his daughter Theresa, grandchildren Trevor and Victoria, great-grandson Bentley, brother Bob Saklofsky and family in Portland, Oregon, brother Jim Saklofsky and family in Kamloops, and sister Marjorie Lussier and family in Kamloops. His nieces, nephews and grandchildren remember him with love and admiration, especially for his wild and wonderful stories. Tom is truly unforgettable to his family and the people who were Tom’s lifetime friends, those with whom he went to school, the guys who loved fishing, hunting and being outdoors as much as he did, and of course, the faithful ‘club’ that met regularly for their coffee and reminiscences.

During the late evening of April 26, 2021 Pat left us and went to her Lord and Saviour. She is now an angel looking over us.
Pat was born in Kamloops in 1933 and lived in Kamloops her whole life. She will be greatly missed by her loving husband Nick of 68 years, her daughters Linda (Ron), Nikki (Terry), Kathy (Ross), her six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and her sister Mary. She will also be missed by many friends that she acquired over the years.
Pat was a selfless, loving wife and mother who always had a smile on her face even when times were tough. She had a quiet strength and the most comforting hugs. She never complained and always valued and appreciated what she had.
Over the years Pat enjoyed spending time with friends and family at Okanagan and Shuswap Lakes, golfing and playing bridge. She also loved to paper tole, do word search puzzles and play solitaire on her computer. And what a cook! Her coleslaw was loved by all.
