He was a Leading Aircraftman with the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1953 to 1956 during this time he served for a year at Gros Tenquin, France. He then returned to Canada, where he settled at Ned's Creek Ranch, Pritchard. He remained active in the Air Force serving with the Primary Reserve as an Air Cadet Officer. He was honourably released in December 1963.
Peter later worked in the logging industry and retired from Balco Industries. He was a real people person and was always willing to give assistance to anyone who might need it. He was very involved with the RCAF Association 883 Overlander Wing, Royal Canadian Legion, Arthritis Society, the Kamloops Garden Club and Kamloops Paddlewheelers Lions Club until his health prevented him from participating.
Peter loved gardening and could produce beautiful flowers and tomatoes from the smallest patch of earth.
He spent the last two years at Windsor Manor in Kelowna. A special thanks to dear family friend Ruth Husson for always being there when needed, you were a true friend to him.
