On March 30, 2008, Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Dohm passed away peacefully in her Kamloops home with her loved ones beside her at the age of 71 years.
She is survived by her loving husband Martin; her daughter Pamela Brownstone of Vernon; her two sons Lawrence (Patti) Dohm of Salmon Arm, B.C. and Gregory Dohm of Nanaimo, B.C. and her five grandchildren, Megan, James and Elliot Dohm, Laurisa Dohm and Teresa Dohm. Also left to cherish her memory are her brother, Michael Taylor, and her sister-in-law, Glenna Taylor. Betty was predeceased by her parents, Joan and Clifford Taylor, her brother James Taylor and sister-in-law Ellen Taylor.
Betty was born and raised in Kamloops. In her youth, she enjoyed spending time at Paul Lake and skiing. She furthered her education in Vancouver and became an Elementary School teacher, teaching in Kamloops and Vancouver. Then, she married Martin Dohm, her devoted husband for 47 years. Together, they raised three children and were blessed with five grandchildren.
