It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Maureen Seaborn on Wednesday, September 26, 2018.
Maureen is survived by her nephews Gary (Ginny), David (Wendy), James (Pat), great nieces and nephew Davy (Jen), Emily, Laura, Kate and great great niece and nephew Andy and Penelope. She will also be missed by many dear friends and cousins. Maureen was predeceased by her parents Sam and Helen and by her sister and brother-in-law Gwen and Al.
Maureen was born on April 23, 1935 in Neepawa, Manitoba. She spent the majority of her life living in Kamloops.
Maureen enjoyed travelling, especially to see her family in Winnipeg. She spent countless Christmas' in Winnipeg. She also loved to spend time at the lake. Maureen was an avid walker. She started most mornings with a walk to Starbucks and then back home to spend time in her garden.
But the place where she found the most happiness was in the stands of the Sandman Centre cheering on her beloved Kamloops Blazers. Maureen was a season ticket holder for years and never missed a game. She could give you the scouting report of any player in the NHL who had ever crossed through the Sandman Centre during their WHL career.

William Sparks
Bill Sparks died peacefully in the afternoon of June 28, 2021, surrounded by his three surviving sons, their wives, his companion Marie, and two grand-daughters.
Bill was in his 87th year. Life has been very generous to him: being born and raised in a loving family, making early-life friendships that would last a lifetime, sharing 58 years of marriage, raising four healthy and happy children, and being blessed with 17 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
As a child he moved around with his family due to the war, and finally settled in Kamloops. After graduating from the first Education class in UBC, he moved to the Okanagan where he spent most of his adult life. There he raised a family with his beloved Marilyn and taught History and Social Studies at Pen-Hi for 32 years.
There, they built their Vaseux lake home. He and Marilyn moved to Victoria in 1994 where they settled in Oak Bay. Gardening, travelling, actively volunteering in several roles, he made many friends and enjoyed many meals and teas.
Faith and church family was important all his life, and this was certainly true in his last years. He was blessed to share the last two years of life and love with his partner Marie.
Bill was true to his values and character right through to the end of his life, enjoying deep and witty conversations, cultivating and enriching friendships, and strengthening family ties. His deep concerns for the inequities in the world were evident to us all.
