Edward Ross Sparrow passed away peacefully on Monday, February 18, 2013, at the age of 83.
Ross was born on September 13, 1929, in Enderby, B.C., to Edward and Edith Sparrow. He grew up and lived most of his life in Kamloops.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Charlotte and his children Drew (Sandra), Glen (Trudy), Ward (Birgit), and Denise; his grandchildren Jesse, Katie, Ross, Wesley, and Mick, his brother Hugh (Iona) and his old buddy Dick Wood (Arlene).
In his early life, Ross enjoyed numerous outdoor activities and participated in many sports, including basketball, hockey, and curling. He was involved in minor hockey and minor baseball for many years. Ross especially enjoyed his time at Lac Le Jeune fishing with family and friends. He loved gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. He had many lifelong friends with whom he and Charlotte spent many happy occasions.
