Our family is sad to announce the passing of Tony Oishi. Tony is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon (nee Morris), and seven siblings, George Iwao, Masako, Takashi, Mamoru, Kiyoko, Shigeko and Arline, and their families. He will be dearly missed by his sons Kim (Veronica), Darin and Alan (Cindy) and five grandchildren, Kimberley, Ryan, Trevor, Lucy and Aidan.
Tony was born in Kamloops, received his Master's in 1967 (UBC) and spent most of his career teaching Mathematics at Langara College. He was an accomplished musician, playing clarinet for the Kamloops High School Band that took him to Europe in 1954, and an avid sports fan, coaching his boys and playing hockey at the Arbutus Club and for the Labatt's Blues.
