Michael Timothy Gilles Larson passed on July 11th, 2010 at the age of 45.
He is survived by his loving wife Tricia and his son Darcy John, his mother and father, Allen and Arlee Larson, of Kamloops BC, his three sisters Becky Temple (Joseph) of Fort St John, BC, Leslie Larson (Richard Caouette) of Sept Iles, PQ and Johanna Ulmer (Tim) of Mission, BC, his nieces and nephews Meredith, Eleanor and Claire Temple, Stephanie, Russell and Curtis Caouette, and Gabrielle and Max Ulmer. He was predeceased by his older brother Arne who died in Sept Iles when Michael was fourteen years old.
Born in Schefferville, Quebec, Michael was the youngest of five children. His parents, brother and three sisters were delighted to have a little brother join the family. He grew up in Sept-Iles, Quebec and remained a Quebecois at heart for the rest of his life.
He graduated from Queen Elizabeth High School in Sept-Iles and moved with his parents to BC in 1985. He attended Vancouver Community College and graduated with a Diploma in Computer Studies. Michael lived in several communities in British Columbia and Alberta where he worked principally for School Boards as Director of Technology. He was living at Wainwright, Alberta when he died.
Michael enjoyed golf, bowling, curling and swimming. He derived great satisfaction from the fact that he played a part in educating students through his work. A work related car accident made it hard for him to enjoy any of these activities or to continue his work for the last several years.
