Sadly Dan passed away at his home at the young age of 56 years. Dan was born in Edmonton Alberta, and raised in Kamloops, BC by his mother Mary. Dan gave 35 years of faithful service in the communications field to BC Tel which became Telus and had just recently retired. He was a good and devoted son to his mother and dedicated time to helping her and spending time with her. Dan had a passion for building model helicopters and flying remote planes. He also enjoyed his rock doves and even allowed them into his apartment overlooking English Bay in Vancouver. Dan was predeceased by his mother, Mary November 16, 2011. He is survived by his uncle Wes (Lynne) Wetenkamp and cousins Sandra Klasema and Doug (Cleane) Wetenkamp. He will be remembered with love by family and friends.
