Walter Pearse
Class of 1904
- Born December 20, 1890
- 1904 - recognized for achieving 89% average in his high school exams
- 1908 - graduated University School (Victoria, BC)
- 1911 - Rhodes scholar from McGill University.
- 1911 - won the Coronation Marathon
- 1913 - returned to BC
- 1915 - commissioned as a lieutenant in the Royal Horse Artillery and sent to front in WW I
- April 9, 1917 - killed at Vimy Ridge, buried at the Ecoivres Military Cemetery in Mont St Eloi, France
