Paul Herman Veltmeyer June 8, 1964 to December 3, 2015
Paul passed away unexpectedly on Dec 3rd, 2015 in his home at Coquitlam, BC after a very brief illness. Born in Brockville ON, he was predeceased by his younger sister Cora and father Hans. He will be missed by his wife Susanna, son Sean, daughter Millika, stepson Tony, mother Jetty, brother Andy (Lennette), nephews Chris (Jessica), Mike, Joshua, extended family and the many friends he made in his travels and ventures over the years. Paul loved BC and its forests and spent most of his life working and recreating in them. He was dedicated to his family and sought to better the world around him with a keen sense of humour, hard work and caring for the communities he lived in and people he met along the way.

ARUN VERMA left us on June 16, 2025. May his soul rest in the tender embrace of the universe, forever cradled in its boundless light. As we gather on the shores of remembrance, let us honour a man whose life was a testament to unyielding courage, a beacon of purpose forged in the crucible of adversity.
Arun's journey was one of extraordinary resilience. Bound to a wheelchair in his youth, he faced trials that would have dimmed a lesser spirit. Yet, from the ashes of a tragic car accident that cut short his initial acceptance into medical school at UBC, he rose with a fierce determination to carve meaning from struggle. Through years of perseverance, he found not only love with his devoted wife, Gita, and their children, who were his unwavering champions, but also a renewed calling to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor.
With unrelenting resolve, Arun earned his doctorate at UBC and, from his wheelchair, became an inspiring educator in pharmacy at UBC, illuminating the minds of countless students. His legacy is not merely one of overcoming hardship but of transforming it into a life of purpose, passion, and profound impact. May his story stir within us a deep gratitude for the gift of life and the courage to live it boldly, as he did, with every breath a testament to the power of an indomitable human courage.
