Janice Louise (Gee) Kainer passed away on December 27th, 2024 at the age of 73.
Born in Kamloops to Pat and Jim Gee, Jan spent her childhood dancing, riding horses and playing with neighbourhood friends. At UBC, Jan joined the varsity basketball team, won national championships, and met the love of her life, Joe Kainer. Their bond was immediate, and together they built a life full of joy. As a dedicated teacher, Jan brought out the best in her students. Her creative and competitive spirit was also evident as she guided her Razzmatap dancers to many triumphs. Jan will be missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lasting friendships.
